Thakur Sri Sri
Bhajan Brahmachari
The luminous Master who brought the grace of Baba Lokenath to Bodhi — the root of this sacred lineage.
Sri Sri Bhajan Brahmachari (lovingly called Thakur) was the Gurudev who initiated Bodhi Shuddhaanandaa into the path of Lokenath Bhakti. From early childhood he received the grace of Baba Lokenath and, later in life, was entrusted to carry forward the teachings and practices of Yoga to seekers.
Thakur’s guidance shaped Bodhi’s sadhana — sending him to the Himalayas for rigorous practice and later instructing him to spread the Order given in a divine vision (15 October 1978): "Spread Out" (choriye de). Through this lineage, the teachings of Baba Lokenath reached devotees around the world.
Bodhi’s lifetime of service — from teaching to global satsangs — is rooted in this early initiation and the unfolding trust between Guru and disciple.

A few words about the Guru Parampara

Each Guru in this lineage not only preserved doctrinal knowledge but embodied living practice. Their lives closely interwove intense sadhana, practical compassion and public service, creating a template for both spiritual depth and social responsibility.
Devgiri Maharaj’s Himalayan austerities and Vijnanananda Saraswati’s scriptural mastery complemented Thakur Bhajan Baba’s devotional power, producing a lineage that was both scholarly and deeply experiential.
Devgiri Maharaj — The Ascetic Guide
Devgiri Maharaj spent decades in Himalayan seclusion, mastering practices that purified body and mind. He combined austere tapasya with practical guidance for householders and renunciates alike, advising kings and seekers. Vijnanananda Saraswati — The Scholar
Renowned for his command over the Vedas and Upanishads, Vijnanananda Saraswati represented the intellectual backbone of the parampara. His debates and teachings clarified complex scriptural points, helping other saints to apply ancient wisdom in modern life. His reluctance to accept worldly honors only enhanced his stature as a teacher of integrity.
