Beloved Babaji, Pranams and surrender to your Lotus Feet! Blessed Babaji, you tell us that we should always take our ego to the Light, we should surrender our ego to the Fire of Baba’s Love for us. But how do we do this? To us fire connotates hell fire, where there is no hope. Please, could you explain a little more how we keep the ego off our path? with gratitude and Love Overflowing, happy ma and norman
Fire is the purest element in Mother Nature. From earliest of the Vedic civilization seekers of Truth have always worshiped Fire. This ritual is called Yajna. Sacrificial fire.
Fire burns. The seekers always offered all that is negative and evil as oblations to the fire. Fire purifies by burning the dross and unwanted. Fire is also light.
Hellfire is probably a Christian concept.
Here, the fire of love burns away all the impurities from the heart illuminating the cave of the heart which is the residence of God.
Taking your ego to the light means, to be more conscious and aware which is to be more available to the light. In the absence of awareness and alertness there is a possibility that you may slip into unconsciousness and gripped by fear anger and such other negative emotions through which the ego plays its game to bring miseries in life.
Don’t put your mind into thoughts and acts of chasing the ego which to me appears to be like chasing darkness, and I’m sure you don’t appreciate such gesture from an intelligent person! As such ego is the separator between God and an individual. When you are conscious about the presence of universal and cosmic principles you are at once rising above the clutch of ego. Whenever you turn to God it also means that you are turning away from the ego. Just as when you move toward the east you are at the same time moving away from west.
Move on the Path of life with utmost faith in God. Surrender with love. Be the worshiper of the fire of illumined Self consciousness.
love and blessings,
