dearest dearest baba, i have a question to ask. who is a saint baba?all people who have taken sanyas , why do they leave their parents, their home?in the process they cause certain pain to their near ones, dont they?maa has said, that to love GOD and his beings one should start at home.can you explain to me the meaning of it all?your daughter sayani.
The saint is one whose heart is totally given to the divine and to the welfare of humanity. He or she is a mere instrument in the hands of the Universal Teacher to enlighten others who are seeking light and love that is beyond the mundane superficiality of life.
Those who are destined to be Sannyasins will at some point of life withdraw from the worldly attachments and dedicate themselves only to the service of God and seeking the ultimate Truth.
The person who becomes a renunciate, may leave the home and the near and dear ones, which could be painful for a while, but this soul in his previous births may have completed those experiences that his soul needed to go through while living in the home with family. In this birth, he may not need to do the same again for he has already set his eyes on a higher Truth than that which is very transient and temporal in the physical world.
Yes one should start at home, and go to the stage where he could retire into isolation to finally take the final leap into the world beyond.
These are all stages of life, like Baba in his previous birth as Sitanath Bandopadhyaa lived in the family but completely detached as a bachelor. But in this birth, his Gurudev took him into the forests and finally to the Himalayas for the ultimate self-realization.
Family life is the ground for preparation, once you’ve graduated with full marks you may be chosen to be His instrument to serve as a full timer.
Love and infinite blessings,
